What do I wear to my headshot session?
We suggest bringing several changes of clothing to the shoot, and this could be four to five tops, shirts or blouses (from the waist up), unless you are interested in full-length shots as well. It’s best to bring solid colors and avoid patterns, and also bring a variety of tops, jackets, ties, and other dress clothes that you can mix and match. Most importantly, bring clothing that you feel comfortable in to help your personality comes through naturally in the shoot. Don’t worry about bringing too much. It’s good to have outfits to work with. We generally use a white, black, and grey backgrounds so that it does not compete with your outfit.
What about hair and makeup?
A portrait commonly goes from the head to the waist, while a headshot only includes the head, shoulders, and chest. For a professional look, it is best for women to come prepared with their make-up on and hair done. If you don’t feel comfortable doing your own hair and make-up for your headshot, we can suggest a make-up artist for you. At the same time, however, your headshot will look best if you keep your make-up simple and natural-looking. A make-up artist is not often requested by men.
Will you edit my headshots?
You can order any number of headshots you’d like. We’ll do basic editing on the ones your order, such as cropping and color correction, but we do not over-retouch your images. You can expect to receive your headshots within three days via download.

How should I prepare for my headshot?
Get your hair and makeup ready before you show up. Shaving is recommended. We recommend cleaning your face before you come in, sweat produces an undesirable, “shiny” look most people dislike. Make sure your clothing is not too loose or too tight.
